Overview

Potassium oxalate can combine with calcium ions in the blood to form chelate compounds, thereby preventing blood coagulation. The combined use of potassium oxalate and sodium fluoride not only acts as an anticoagulant but also inhibits glucose decompositionThe double oxalate anticoagulant is prepared from potassium oxalate, ammonium oxalate, preservatives, deionized water, etc. This anticoagulant is most suitable for hematocrit determination, as it achieves anticoagulation by precipitating the calcium ions necessary for blood coagulation. This reagent is only intended for use in scientific research and is not suitable for clinical diagnosis or other purposes.

Operating Procedure (for reference only)

Before use, add the calculated amount to a glass container based on the blood volume and bake dry for later use. For example, adding 0.5 mL to a test tube and drying it can anticoagulate 5 mL of blood.

Precautions

  1. After opening the reagent, use it as soon as possible to avoid affecting subsequent experimental results.

  2. For safety and health, please wear a lab coat and disposable gloves during operation.
