The Fungal Fluorescent Staining Solution is a composite staining solution containing fluorescein and a dye that inhibits background fluorescence. Fluorescein can bind to β-polysaccharides on the fungal cell wall and produce fluorescence under a specific channel of a fluorescence microscope. The potassium hydroxide contained in the staining solution can dissolve keratin in the sample, helping to observe fungal structures more clearly, thereby enabling rapid detection of fungi in the sample.
Intended Use
For fluorescent staining of fungi in human samples.

Sample Requirements

Suitable for various samples such as skin scales, nail clippings, hair, tissue fluid, or secretions.
Test Method
Please read this instruction manual carefully before using this product.
Scrape or dip the sample onto a glass slide;
Add one drop of the staining solution onto the glass slide, ensuring the staining solution covers or submerges the entire sample (area);
Cover with a cover slip, flatten the sample, and absorb the surrounding liquid. Observe the result under the UV channel of a fluorescence microscope. Fungi will be stained bright blue.
Precautions
When using this product, wear disposable gloves to avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact, immediately rinse with plenty of water. If accidentally ingested or splashed into the eyes, seek medical attention promptly.
Please tightly close the reagent bottle after use to prevent volatilization or deterioration.
The staining time depends on the sample condition, usually about 30 seconds. However, for hard and thick tissues such as nails and viscous samples, the time should be appropriately extended to ensure the sample is softened.
All samples, biological reagents, and experimental items should be regarded as potentially infectious and must be disposed of as medical waste in accordance with local regulations.
If you have any questions or suggestions during the use of this product, please contact the manufacturer.
