This product is suitable for detecting vaginal secretions by the dry- film method. Through the Double Fluorescent Microbial Staining Solution (Dry-film Method, Aggregation-induced emission, AIE), epithelial cells, white blood cells, fungi and bacteria in the sample can be distinguished.
Product Features
Double Fluorescent Microbial Staining Solution (Dry-film Method, Aggregation-induced emission, AIE) is a microbial dye with high sensitivity, strong stability and wide applicability. It can be used for smear staining of vaginal secretions and is an ideal substitute for chemical staining. A clear visual field image can be obtained within 5 minutes, with simple operation and intuitive results. Using the dual - fluorescence staining technology, the AIE composite fluorescent dye stains epithelial cells, white blood cells, clue cells, bacteria and fungi in the sample. Under the excitation of a special waveband of a fluorescence microscope, the stained microorganisms emit different fluorescences in the dark background, and their morphological structures are clearly distinguishable.
Experimental Method
1. Dip a cotton swab into a small amount of fresh sample (use within 2 hours after collection), smear it on a glass slide, then place it above the alcohol lamp flame and shake it horizontally 2 - 3 times for fixation, or bake it on a 50 °C hot plate for 1 - 2 minutes, or air - dry it at room temperature for about 5 minutes. It is appropriate that each component does not move during observation;
2. Use a pipette to absorb 5 - 10 μL of the staining solution equilibrated to room temperature, add it dropwise on the glass slide, cover it with a coverslip, and observe it under a fluorescence microscope.
Sample Requirements
Suitable for female vaginal secretion samples. The collection container should be clean. Generally, a cotton swab soaked in normal saline is used to obtain the sample from the deep part of the vagina, the posterior fornix of the vagina, the cervical os and other places.
