Tetratert-tert-butoxytin (Sn(OtBu)₄) is an organic compound. It can be used as a precursor for the synthesis of tin dioxide (SnO₂) films and nanostructures. Its volatility and pyrolysis properties are suitable for the preparation of SnO₂ coatings using chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and atomic layer deposition (ALD) techniques for gas sensors and optoelectronic devices. It is also used to synthesize tin oxide nanoparticles and nanowires for catalysis, energy storage, electronics, and sensor technologies.
