This product is a non-freezing bacterial RNA preservation solution, suitable for preserving RNA in bacteria under room temperature conditions. It greatly facilitates sample collection and preservation in scenarios such as field studies and operating rooms, as well as the transportation of samples at room temperature. This non-denaturing solution effectively maintains the integrity of RNA molecules by inhibiting nuclease activity without altering the original structure of biomacromolecules. It widely meets the needs of bacterial sample processing and preservation in scientific research experiments.
Product Features
Easy to Operate: No complex steps are required; simply place fresh bacteria directly into the preservation solution to complete the preservation process. No need for liquid nitrogen, dry ice, or a -80°C freezer, making it especially suitable for rapid, large-scale collection of clinical and field samples.
Long Preservation Time: Under conditions of 4–25°C, RNA in bacteria can be stably preserved for up to 15 days, enabling efficient short-term preservation without the need for low-temperature environments.
High RNA Integrity: Preserved bacterial samples can be used for total RNA extraction, and the extracted RNA can be directly applied to various molecular biology experiments, such as reverse transcription and one-step RT-PCR, ensuring reliable experimental results.
Usage Instructions
Bacterial Culture Processing: Take 1 mL of an overnight bacterial culture and place it at room temperature. Centrifuge at 10,000 rpm for 1 minute, then discard the supernatant.
Sample Preservation: Add 1 mL of Non-Freezing Bacterial RNA Preservation Solution to the pelleted bacteria after centrifugation. Mix thoroughly to ensure the bacteria are completely and evenly dispersed in the preservation solution without any clumping.
Sample Transfer: Transfer the mixed solution to a labeled collection tube and tightly close the cap.
Storage Conditions: Store the collection tube containing the sample and preservation solution in an appropriate temperature environment. For long-term storage, ensure the storage temperature does not fall below 4°C.
Subsequent Operations: For RNA extraction, follow the routine bacterial RNA extraction procedure without any additional processing of the preserved bacterial samples.
Precautions
This reagent is intended for research use only and is strictly prohibited for clinical diagnosis or other non-research purposes.
During operation, please try to work under sterile conditions to avoid contamination by exogenous RNase (ribonuclease). Although the preservation solution itself can inhibit RNase activity, introducing other microorganisms may increase the risk of RNA degradation and add complexity to subsequent experimental analysis.
If the initial bacterial culture concentration is too high, or if long-term storage (e.g., several months or more) is required, proportionally increase the volume of preservation solution or reduce the amount of bacterial pellet used for storage to ensure the bacteria are fully protected and to avoid RNA degradation.
