Experiments on the observation of biological traits of Enterobacteriaceae

Summary

Recognize the biology of enterobacteria.

Operation method

observation method

Principle

Enterobacteriaceae are a large group of gram-negative, medium-sized bacilli with bluntly rounded ends. They do not produce bacilli and most have flagella and hyphae. They are morphologically similar.

Move

1. Observe slices of gram-stained specimens of Escherichia coli, S. typhi and S. dysenteriae.

2. Observe the growth of the above bacteria on Chinese orchid agar plate or S-S agar plate.

3. Observe the growth of the above bacteria on semi-solid disaccharide iron-containing medium and indigo substrate test.

4. Observe the migration of Aspergillus spp. on plain agar plates and the results of growth in urea medium.
