Experiments on the preparation of granules

Summary

Granules are dry granular preparations made of drugs or herbal extracts with suitable excipients or fine powder of herbs. Preparation process: treatment of raw and auxiliary materials → granules → drying → granulation → quality inspection → packaging.

Operation method

Preparation of cold and fever granules

Materials and Instruments

Leafy leaves, root of the plant, forsythia, forsythia, ginseng.
Purified water, ethanol, sucrose, dextrin.
Beakers, glass rods, scales, rotary vaporizers, round-bottomed flasks, mulberry paper.

Move

I. Preparation
1. Treatment of raw and auxiliary materials: According to the different active ingredients of the herbs, different solvents and methods of extraction can be used, generally more decoction method to extract the active ingredients, with the same amount of ethanol refining placed in the time, the recovery of ethanol placed in the time can be based on the experimental arrangements for the appropriate extension of the time to the precipitation is complete, the supernatant is easy to separate is appropriate.
2. Make particles: master the operation method of wet granulation. Control of the relative density of the paste due to the production of small quantities, it is not convenient to measure the specific gravity meter, can also be used to measure the watermark on the mulberry paper to properly grasp the method, in order not to appear, or only a small amount of watermarks to the degree; add the amount of excipients generally does not exceed the amount of 5 times the amount of clear paste to the hand of a ball, touch to be dispersed; if the soft material is not easy to dispersion, the availability of ethanol to adjust the dryness and humidity in order to reduce the viscosity, easy to pass the sieve and make the particles easy to Drying.
3. Drying and granulation: wet granules are dried immediately at 60-80 ℃ under normal pressure. After granulation, aromatic volatile substances and drugs that are unstable to moisture and heat are added to the dry granules.
4. Granules are easy to absorb moisture and deteriorate, in order to ensure the quality of granules, suitable packaging materials should be selected for packaging.
II. Specific operations
The four flavors of Da Qing Ye, Panax quinquefolium, forsythia, boxing ginseng, plus purified water decoction twice, 1.5 hours each time, combined decoction, filtration, filtrate concentrated to a relative density of about 1.08 (90 ~ 95 ℃), to be cooled to room temperature, add an equal amount of ethanol to make the precipitation, standing; take the supernatant concentrated to a relative density of 1.20 (60 ~ 65 ℃), add an equal amount of water, stirring, standing for 8 hours, the supernatant is concentrated into a clear paste with a relative density of 1.38 ~ 1.40 (60 ~ 65 ℃). The supernatant was concentrated to a relative density of 1.38 ~ 1.40 (60 ~ 65 ℃) of the clear paste. Take 1 part of the clear paste, 3 parts of sucrose powder, 1.25 parts of dextrin and the appropriate amount of ethanol, made of particles, dry, that is obtained.

Caveat

1. In order to make the finished product pure, the extract is concentrated to a relative density of about 1.08 plus an equal amount of ethanol to make the precipitation, in order to remove gum, protein and other impurities, and at the same time to facilitate the granulation.

2. Preparation of powdered sugar to be 600 ° C drying, to remove the water of crystallization.
