Overview
Rabbit anti Human FTO Antibody, Recombinant, could be used for WB, IHC, ICC, IF and so on. Application: WB: 1/500-1/1000 IHC: 1/50-1/100 ICC/IF: 1/50-1/100 Protein Function： Dioxygenase that repairs alkylated DNA and RNA by oxidative demethylation. Has highest activity towards single-stranded RNA containing 3-methyluracil, followed by single-stranded DNA containing 3-methylthymine. Has low demethylase activity towards single-stranded DNA containing 1-methyladenine or 3-methylcytosine. Has no activity towards 1-methylguanine. Has no detectable activity towards double-stranded DNA. Requires molecular oxygen, alpha-ketoglutarate and iron. Contributes to the regulation of the global metabolic rate, energy expenditure and energy homeostasis. Contributes to the regulation of body size and body fat accumulation.

Recombinant FTO Antibody (Ab104209) - IF/ICC Immunofluorescent analysis of FTO staining in HeLa cells. Formalin-fixed cells were permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in TBS for 5-10 minutes and blocked with 3% BSA-PBS for 30 minutes at room temperature. Cells were probed with Recombinant FTO Antibody (Ab104209) in 3% BSA-PBS and incubated overnight at 4°C in a hidified chamber. Cells were washed with PBST and incubated with a AF488-conjugated secondary antibody (green) in PBS at room temperature in the dark.
Recombinant FTO Antibody (Ab104209) - IHC Immunohistochemical analysis of FTO staining in human lung cancer formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with Recombinant FTO Antibody (Ab104209) at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.
