Qualitative identification of volatile oils

Summary

Volatile oils, also known as essential oils, in English for essential oils, is a class of aromatic odors present in plants, can be distilled with water vapor and water is not miscible with the volatile oily components of the general term. Volatile oil is a mixture of more complex components. Mainly through the water vapor distillation and pressing method to obtain essential oils. Volatile oil components to terpene components are common, in addition, still contains small molecules of aliphatic compounds and small molecules of aromatic compounds.
