TKL:Tyrosine kinase-like

TKL stands for Tyrosine Kinase-Like, which is a subfamily of protein kinases that are structurally similar to tyrosine kinases but lack the conserved tyrosine residue in their activation loop . TKLs are also known as non-receptor tyrosine kinases and are involved in various cellular processes, including cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis . The TKL family includes Janus Kinase (JAK), Tyrosine Kinase 2 (TYK2), and B lymphocyte kinase (BLK), among others .
