Gonadotrophin-releasing hormone receptors (GnRHRs) are a class of G protein-coupled receptors that are activated by gonadotrophin-releasing hormone(GnRH), a peptide hormone that is involved in the regulation of reproductive function. GnRHRs are primarily expressed in the pituitary gland and are involved in the regulation of gonadotrophin secretion, which in turn regulates the production of sex hormones, such as estrogen and testosterone.
