Neuropeptide S receptor

Neuropeptide S receptor is a G protein-coupled receptor that is activated by neuropeptide S (NPS), a neuropeptide that is involved in the regulation of several physiological processes such as anxiety, arousal, and stress response. The neuropeptide S receptor is encoded by the NPSR1 gene and is primarily expressed in the brain, particularly in the amygdala and hypothalamus.
