Transthyretin

Transthyretin (TTR) is a protein that is primarily produced in the liver and is involved in the transport of thyroxine (T4) and retinol-binding protein (RBP) in the blood. TTR is a tetrameric protein composed of four identical subunits, each of which contains two domains that are involved in the binding of T4 and RBP.
