Motilin receptor is a G protein-coupled receptor that is activated by motilin, a hormone that is involved in the regulation of gastrointestinal motility. The motilin receptor is primarily expressed in the smooth muscle cells of the gastrointestinal tract and is involved in the regulation of gastric emptying and intestinal motility.
