Galanin receptors are a class of G protein-coupled receptors that are activated by galanin, a neuropeptide that is involved in the regulation of various physiological processes, including pain sensation, mood, and appetite regulation. There are three main types of galanin receptors: GalR1, GalR2, and GalR3.
