Opioid receptors

Opioid receptors are a class of G protein-coupled receptors that are activated by endogenous opioid peptides such as endorphins, enkephalins, and dynorphins, as well as by exogenous opioid drugs such as morphine and fentanyl . There are three known opioid receptors: mu (μ), delta (δ), and kappa (κ).
