Chaperone proteins

Chaperone proteins are a group of proteins that assist in the folding and unfolding of other proteins. They are involved in many cellular processes, including protein synthesis, protein degradation, and protein transport. Chaperone proteins help to ensure that newly synthesized proteins fold correctly and prevent the aggregation of misfolded proteins. They also play a role in the degradation of misfolded or damaged proteins by targeting them for proteolysis.
