Pattern recognition receptors (PRRs) are a type of receptor that are involved in the recognition of pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) and damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs). PRRs are found on the surface of immune cells and can recognize a wide range of molecules, including lipopolysaccharides, flagellin, and nucleic acids.
